Bob Carpenter brings to his work more than 40 years of experience and a background in corporate and government environments. Bob has deep experience in capital funding and negotiated transactions for specialized industries including renewable energy, financial services and information technology services. He focuses his consulting on special situations such as major loan workouts, debtor-in-possession financing and creditor rights. Since 1996 Bob has provided international assistance, both off-site and in-country, to build financial services capacity in developing and emerging markets with diverse cultures.
Recently Bob has been in private law practice and has served as Counsel in the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation's Legal Division. Bob also served as general counsel and secretary for Aurum Technology, Plano, Texas prior to its merger with Fidelity National Financial, Inc. in March of 2004. He was formerly senior vice president and general counsel for GFS Technologies, which Aurum acquired in 2001, and has served as corporate counsel for several major financial services companies such as Cargill Incorporated's Financial Markets Group, ITT Financial Services and Household International (now HSBC USA). Bob has also held senior legal positions with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas, the Federal Home Loan Bank Board in Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Department of Defense. Bob Carpenter received his LL.M. at GeorgetownUniversityLawCenter in Washington, D.C. and his law and undergraduate degrees at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
